Welcome!

I am a speculative fiction author and editor based in Houston, Texas. I discovered my love for writing at a young age, when I spent weekends penning Lord of the Rings fanfiction into spiral notebooks. But it wasn’t until after earning a Master’s degree in plant community ecology that I decided I wanted to turn my love of writing fiction into a career.

I’m a huge fan of all things science fiction and fantasy, and love to blend my favorite aspects of the two genres in my own work (there’s more overlap than you might think!). When exploring my writing, expect to find mysterious ancient ruins, magical technology, and genetic engineering giving rise to different humanoid species. Don’t be surprised if you find some space travel and broadswords along the way!
